Delsue Frankson was born in Jamaica, West Indies. She is a minister, life coach, consultant, artist, musician, designer and model. She has been a Professional Educator for over 19 years. She began her career as an assistant directress at West Glades Montessori in 2001 and became an Exceptional Student Education content equivalent math teacher in 2003. Since that time, she has had numerous professional opportunities and accomplishments in the areas of teaching, research, and service. She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Varying Exceptionalities in 2001 and a Master’s degree in Mental Retardation in 2003. She was the recipient of the I.M.P.A.C. Award for Individuals Making Personal Academic Achievements and giving back to their community from Florida Atlantic University in 2001. She was nominated twice by her colleagues for the prestigious Dwyer Award for outstanding educators in Palm Beach County. She was featured in the KISH Magazine November 2019 Issue and December 2019 Issue, as one of the Top 30 Most Influential Women; Movers & Shakers. She has participated in several University Guest Lectures at Florida International University, on “Classification Issues & Placement Issues and Overrepresentation” of minorities in special education. She also presented at several professional national conferences on Urban Special Education Issues. She is a published author, certified life coach and the CEO of Delsue Frankson Consulting Services LLC. She is a model and fashion designer and her shoe brand "Grit" is currently being featured in Italy, UK, USA and Asia and was recently featured in Elle Magazine in the UK. Her new Music Therapy Project for children "Good Night", will be released on 11/20/2020. She was initiated into the Xi Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated in the fall of 2012 as a part of “The Ten Cultured Pearls”. Since her initiation, she has served on the Xi Pi Omega Chapter’s and The Alpha Pearl Foundation’s Executive Committee Boards. She participated in several service projects with the Chapter and assisted the Chapter in publishing their first history book. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, with an emphasis on k-12 Leadership at Grand Canyon University. Her desire is to complete her doctoral degree and continue to make a significant difference in the field of education and in her community. She brings her passion for service, for helping people to succeed, her experience as a leader and a team player to the field of education and the world. She hopes to continue to be an agent for change and to help others become productive and responsible global citizens.
